Terms of Service

What Heerio is

Heerio is a client arrival notification tool for professional practices. It allows clients to indicate they have arrived for an appointment by selecting their provider and confirming their arrival on a tablet kiosk. The professional is then notified via SMS and a real-time dashboard. Clients are not required to provide any personal information to use the kiosk — no names, initials, or identifying information of any kind is collected. Heerio is not an electronic health record, a scheduling system, a billing platform, or a clinical tool of any kind. It does not document sessions, store clinical notes, or integrate with any EHR system.

Not a substitute for clinical judgment

Heerio facilitates communication between clients and professionals in a waiting room only. Nothing in the Heerio platform constitutes clinical advice, supervision, or oversight. Professionals remain solely responsible for all clinical decisions and the care of their clients.

HIPAA responsibility

Heerio is designed to minimize contact with protected health information — we do not store client names, initials, clinical data, or any PHI of any kind. The only data created at check-in is a record of which provider was selected and a timestamp. Practices remain solely responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliance in their use of Heerio.

Subscription & billing

Heerio is offered on a flat monthly subscription based on the number of providers at your practice. Plans start at $9.99/month. Current pricing is listed at heerio.app/signup. Subscriptions renew monthly on the billing date. You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months. Tablet hardware is available as a one-time purchase separately.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Heerio only for its intended purpose: notifying professionals of client arrivals in a waiting room. You may not resell, sublicense, or use Heerio in any way that violates applicable law, including state and federal privacy laws.

Limitation of liability

Heerio is provided “as is.” We are not liable for missed notifications, SMS delivery failures, service interruptions, or any clinical outcome arising from use or non-use of the platform. Your use of Heerio is at your own discretion.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.
